SAW Services:
SAW has a team “victim support” (part of the forensic team) which answers specific support for the Victim Support Services of the “Centra Algemeen Welzijnswerk” in the Flanders. In total the SAW supports 12 (independent) departments of “Victim Support”.
The SAW team “victim support” also contributes to the improvement of the (legal) position of victims by sensibilisation and other actions which can influence the policy.
Victim Services:
The 12 Victim Support Services provide support to victims of crime, victims of a disaster, relatives of suicide, relatives of a fatal traffic accident and also witnesses of all these facts.
The Victim Support Services offer emotional and psychological support, supply juridical information and provide practical advise.
There is an adapted offer for both the adults and the children. The support is free.
